Major Accidents and Incidents with Emerging Materials: Risk Prediction for the Case of Emerging Materials embedded in a Comparative and Critical Evaluation of Analogies and Prognosis on the Power of Nuclear Energy Approaches.

The current knowledge on major accidents and incidents risks associated with emerging materials is evaluated and embedded in a comparative study on experiences made and challenges presented regarding risk uncertainty and predictivity in the nuclear energy field.

Research program

ETSS AG developes as part of a European research program stochastic models for wastewater and solid waste management and for risks and forecasts of accidental environmental contamination and serious accidents in such contexts. This project is part of the national, international and transatlantic cooperation of the European Union’s Horizon 2020.

EU research program fp7

In the SUN project, ETSS explores nano-EHS risks in the life cycles of engineered nanomaterials. Emerging scientific findings should lead to the sustainable production. This particular project involves national, international, and transatlantic collaborations within the EU’s 7th Framework program.
